Britton 3rd Overall - San Dimas Stage Race, CA

Victoria's Rob Britton (Competitive Cyclist Racing Team) sent a clear signal that he is a force to contend with on the Professional Road Racing circuit.  Racing with the Competitive Cyclist Pro Racing Team on a part time contract, Rob made it clear that he was going to take advantage of every situation and show the cycling world why he is one of the best stage racers in North America.  At the San Dimas Stage race in California, Rob showed some impressive early form to finish 2nd in the 1st Stage Time Trial.  In stage 2, Rob was in the thick of the action and was able to keep the competition in check with a 12th place finish in the San Dimas Hospital Road Race, only losing 22 seconds to the winner. In the last stage, the Cannondale San Dimas Classic Criterium, Rob was riding aggressive and was not far back from the front to finish a respectable 7th and preserve a place on the final podium with 3rd overall.

The big question on everyone's mind is: will this open some new opportunities for Rob and secure him a solid pro contract that will allow him to go to bigger races and show what he is made of?  Stay tuned.
